Why the name Coconut Dolly?

Coconut Dolly originated from family - more specifically, two very important people in my life, my grandpa Al and my grandpa John. The very first word my grandpa Al taught me was Coconut. I remember being tucked into bed and he would show me this tiny picture of a coconut, it was all crinkly and folded.  And I remember vividly sounding it out, with his help… CO-CO-NUT. It's such a simple memory. But, whenever I see a coconut or a picture of one, I remember this time and smile.  My grandpa John called me Dolly. My favorite movie growing up was Annie - I wanted nothing more than to be a redheaded orphan who could sing. I had this Ragged Ann doll that I would walk around with (along with a whole family of dolls) and the name just sort of fit me. I loved being called Dolly and loved my grandpas.
